This service, provided by Pittsburgh's Port Authority, allows motorists to drive to a designated parking lot and utilize the Port Authority's public transportation system for transportation into the city. Moon Township's Park-and-Ride, located on University Boulevard, opened in 2002 has parking for 600 vehicles. Pittsburgh's Port Authority provides public transportation to anyone traveling with a 775 square-mile area around Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. The Port Authority has a fleet of nearly 1,000 buses, 83 light rail vehicles, 75 mini buses, the Monongahela and Duquesne inclines and ACCESS – the nation's largest paratransit program for senior citizens and disabled persons.
